God created the heavens, the earth, and everything in them in six days, and He rested on the seventh day. On the sixth day, God created land animals and human beings, looking at His entire creation and declaring it “very good.”

Adam was the first human being created by God. The Bible states that God formed Adam out of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, making him a living soul to take care of the Garden of Eden.

God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and while he slept, God took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh. He then made a woman, Eve, from the rib to be a perfect companion and helper suitable for Adam.

The serpent, described as more crafty than any other beast of the field, deceived Eve by questioning God’s command. It convinced her that eating the fruit from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil would make her wise like God.

Cain and Abel were the first children of Adam and Eve. Cain became a farmer who worked the soil, while his younger brother Abel became a shepherd who looked after sheep. This led to the first biblical story of sibling rivalry.

When God decided to bring a flood to cleanse the earth, He gave Noah exact blueprints for survival. He explicitly commanded Noah to build an ark of “gopher wood” and to seal it inside and out with pitch to make it waterproof.

Only eight human beings entered the Ark and survived the great flood. These individuals were Noah, his wife, their three sons (Shem, Ham, and Japheth), and the three sons’ wives, who together repopulated the earth after the waters receded.

After Noah offered sacrifices, God made a covenant with humanity and every living creature. He set a rainbow in the clouds as a visual sign of this everlasting promise, guaranteeing that water would never again become a flood to destroy all life.

The people of the earth gathered in the land of Shinar to build a massive tower that would reach the heavens to make a name for themselves. To stop their pride, God confused their languages and scattered them across the face of the entire earth.

Originally named Abram, God changed his name to Abraham, which means “Father of a Multitude.” By absolute faith, he obeyed God’s call to leave his homeland for an unknown promised land, becoming the foundational patriarch of Israel.
